The magnum primers will generate somewhat higher pressures, which you compensate for by working up to a safe load, as others have already suggested. I was planning on creating several small batches (5-6 rounds each) and see what the gun likes. In my friend’s pre-64 Winchester, these two loads shot to the same point of aim at 100 yards, a handy fact if one is inclined to carry two bullet weights on a hunt. Using a 130gr bullet, 58.5gr to 60.0gr of H4831 seems to be nirvana territory in all 3 of these rifles. Another odd thing is that, as far as I know, the barrels on the other four rifles were all hammer forged while the Biesen has cut rifling. Haven't heard of many Tikka's that don't shoot well though.
